Last night the crescent moon was low in the sky, and I wasn't sure how the lighting would be for landscapes. But I gave it a try.
For starters, the crescent moon didn't interfere with constellations, such as this view of Orion chasing Taurus through the trees. |

The moon, above, doesn't appear as a crescent, because of the longer time exposure (25 seconds).
Stars seen through a lattice of branches fascinate me. |

All in all, I'm more drawn than ever into nighttime photography.
Camera note: I used a Pentax K20D, with the SMC-A f2.8 20mm lens, on 3 March 2014 for these photos.
