Rusty Blackbird
Euphagus carolinus | Oct. 24, 2010 |

This morning I managed to take my first and only photo of a rusty blackbird (Euphagus carolinus), but I feel it's clear enough to stand (or perch) on its own. |
The rusty blackbird is a regular if uncommon migrant in State College, Pennsylvania, in spring and fall (according to the Birds of Central Pennsylvania by Nick Bolgiano and Greg Grove - a terrific reference for central PA).
Photo note: I used a Pentax K20D, with the Sigma 150-500mm lens, on October 24, 2010. |
