At about 38K, the following water lily photo is much larger than my custom to show on the web, but it is also one of the odder pictures that I have taken. The reflection reminds me more of a Monet painting than what is expected via such a "realistic" medium as photography.
It certainly looks like someone with a palette knife worked on those reflections. Or perhaps, as I have always believed, the Impressionists were much closer to reality that the word "impression" implies. |
The water lilies are from the entrance ponds to Saddle Rock, and I used a 300mm lens with a Pentax LX.
