Cedar Waxwing Poses
Bombycilia cedrorum
Feb. 25, 2014

This past Sunday I had a particularly good day photographing cedar waxwings (Bombycilia cedrorum).

Although a cedar waxwing is a smallish bird, it has loads of expression.

The same waxwing next struck what I call a noble pose.

It is somewhat less dignified to go bobbing for berries, but one must eat.

I also had a good flight photo on the day.

Cedar waxwings are truly beautiful.

Photo note: I used a Pentax K20D, with the Sigma 150-500mm lens, on February 23, 2014, at the Toftrees game land for these photos.
