Miscellaneous 2013
Three Damselfly Photos
Sept. 2, 2013

In returning to my website, I thought to present a variety of photos to represent summer days that I had missed. This miscellaneous page is for damselflies; the other two I've put up today are for butterflies and birds, each having three (colorful) photos.

The first photo is approximately eye level with a damselfly.

One of these years, I'll become serious about damselfly identification; in the meantime, I refer to it as a pretty blue damselfly.

The second damselfly is a lovely combination of violet and purple.

The orange damselfly is contemplating a dewdrop.

Damselflies (as well as dragonflies) evolved during the Paleozoic, making them among the oldest lifeforms on the planet.

Photo note: I used a Pentax K20D, with the Voigtlander 125mm macro lens, for these photos taken during summer 2013.
