Least Skipper
Ancyloxypha numitor
August 1, 2010

The Least Skipper is a tiny orange and black butterfly, about the size of pinky finernail.

The black is more apparent when the Least Skipper's wings are open.

My excuse for including the following is that the photo has not only a Least Skipper but also a lovely set of Birdsfoot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) blossoms.

Photo note: I used the Pentax K20D, with the Voigtlander 125mm macro lens, for the photos, taken on July 31, 2010.
